The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing organisation that is investing in its finance capability and looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to play a visible role within the business.

Rather than spending your time solely producing reports, you'll be encouraged to challenge, investigate and improve. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, helping them understand costs, identify opportunities and support better decision-making across the organisation.

The Role
This is a broad and varied role where you'll combine traditional management accounting responsibilities with genuine business partnering and operational involvement.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Reviewing and improving costing methodologies.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Supporting operational teams with financial insight and analysis.
  • Developing reports, models and business intelligence using Excel.
  • Working across functions to solve problems and support decision-making.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
  • Providing support across wider finance activities when required.

This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to make a tangible impact on business performance.
The Person
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys understanding how a business operates and using financial information to drive improvement.

You will likely have:

  • Experience within a Management Accountant or Accountant position gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Experience producing management accounts and financial analysis.
  • A proactive approach and natural curiosity.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A desire to move beyond reporting and add genuine commercial value.
  • Applications are welcomed from qualified, part-qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates.
