The Role
The Production Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules across manufacturing operations, ensuring customer demand is met while balancing operational constraints and changing priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand
- Manage short-term planning issues, including material shortages, production delays and changing requirements
- Monitor schedule adherence and implement corrective actions where required.
- Communicate production plan changes effectively across key stakeholders.
- Support new product introductions and production transfers.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing, logistics and customer service functions to maximise service performance.

I am currently working with a leading UK manufacturing business is seeking a Production Scheduler to join its growing Supply Chain team at a key production site in Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business undergoing significant transformation, driven by increased production volumes, systems investment, and ongoing expansion plans. The role has arisen due to continued growth and increased demand across the operation.
Working within an established planning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production scheduling, maintaining service levels, and supporting the smooth flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process.
About You
The successful Production Scheduler will be/ have:
- Previous experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment where plans can change frequently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with operations, procurement and logistics teams.
