An established organisation is appointing a hands-on Head of Procurement to strengthen its procurement capability, develop its team and deliver meaningful commercial improvement.
This is a visible leadership role for someone who combines strategic perspective with the confidence to remain close to suppliers, negotiations and operational delivery. You will implement an established procurement strategy while helping shape its future direction as the organisation evolves.
The Opportunity
The Head of Procurement:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Procurement Business Partners.
- Drive supplier performance, consolidation and innovation.
- Lead the integration of an additional supply chain.
- Participate directly in complex commercial negotiations.
- Guide category leads across a broad portfolio.
- Strengthen strategic supplier reviews and performance management.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
- Improve oversight of a substantial and diverse supplier base.
About You
The successful Head of Procurement will bring broad, multi-category procurement experience and a strong record of leading teams, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering commercial outcomes.
You must be comfortable operating at pace, making informed decisions and providing practical leadership without extensive direction.
Experience from within FM sector or of FM procurement category management essential.
MCIPS qualification, or active progress towards CIPS qualifications highly desirable.
The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of spending approximately two days per week in the office in addition to travel in line with business requirements.
