Nigel Wright are currently supporting a Newcastle based business with their Temporary Finance Assistant vacancy. This is a 12 month contract, offering hybrid working and immediate start.
The Role
As Finance Assistant, you will:
- Manage end-to-end processing of high-volume purchase invoices
- Match invoices to purchase orders
- Process monthly payment runs
- Handle supplier account administration
- Process employee expenses, petty cash claims, and company credit card transactions
- Support wider finance operations as required
The Candidate
To be successful in this process, you'll have:
- Previous experience working within a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, or broader finance administration role.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase order matching, supplier payments, and expense claim procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately.
- Confidence communicating, ability to build effective relationships with suppliers, colleagues, budget holders, and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and trackers.
- A team player & proactive attitude, willing to support wider finance activities and contribute to continuous improvement across the department. xgikmsk
