Hygiene Manager
Lead the standards, systems and behaviours that keep a complex 24/7 operation performing at its best.
An established organisation is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to take ownership of site hygiene strategy and lead a team responsible for maintaining consistently high operational and compliance standards.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will turn expectations into effective daily practice. You will strengthen hygiene systems, schedules and risk assessments, ensuring activity is properly validated, documented and delivered without compromising safety, quality or operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of shift-based hygiene operatives.
- Embed a right-first-time culture across a 24/7 operation.
- Maintain effective hygiene, waste and pest-management systems.
- Improve site standards and readiness for customer and third-party audits.
- Manage investigations, corrective actions and non-conformance closure.
- Deliver practical training and verify team competency.
- Control labour and consumables budgets in partnership with service providers.
- Work across functions and shifts to create shared ownership of site standards.
The candidate
You will bring at proven experience in hygiene management within a complex operational environment, including responsibility for hygiene management systems. You can interpret demanding codes of practice, present accurate information and influence stakeholders at every level.
Alongside strong technical judgement, you will be a visible and practical leader who makes confident decisions, develops others and maintains momentum when priorities compete.
