Job Description
A leading and highly regarded regional Financial Planning company is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing Financial Planning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who is looking for a varied role within a professional, supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The role will be based in Taunton, with the opportunity to work up to three days per week from home, providing an excellent balance between office and remote working.
The Role
Working closely with Financial Planners and the wider team, you will provide high-quality technical and administrative support across the full financial planning process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing suitability reports and recommendations for clients
- Undertaking research and analysis across a range of financial planning products and investments
- Preparing cashflow analysis and supporting client reviews
- Processing new business and ensuring cases progress efficiently through to completion
- Liaising with providers, platforms and other third parties
- Supporting Financial Planners with client meetings and ongoing servicing
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with FCA and internal compliance requirements
- Maintaining excellent technical knowledge and keeping up to date with industry and regulatory developments
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Paraplanner, ideally within an IFA or financial planning firm environment.
You will be:
- Technically capable with a strong understanding of financial planning
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines
- A confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
- Client-focused and committed to delivering a high standard of service
- Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant financial planning qualifications, such as the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, are required, and working towards Chartered status would be advantageous.
