This is a genuinely compelling opportunity for an experienced Financial Planner to join one of the UK's largest and most prestigious wealth management businesses.

Our client is one of the most established names in UK wealth management with a significant national presence and a large, high-quality client base. They have a substantial team of Investment Managers serving HNW and UHNW clients with portfolios. The business is now actively growing its financial planning capability and is looking to bring in experienced financial planners to work alongside the investment management teams in Edinburgh, delivering holistic financial planning advice to existing clients of the business.

This is not a new business hunting role. You will not be expected to cold prospect for clients. Instead you will work closely with Investment Managers, attend new client pitches alongside them, and meet with their existing clients to deliver financial planning advice where it is needed. It is a collaborative, relationship-driven environment that rewards those who can work effectively alongside others and deliver outstanding outcomes for HNW clients. The business also offers the flexibility to deliver one-off advice as well as ongoing services, which is a genuinely distinctive feature of their proposition.

The role:

  • Work alongside a team of Investment Managers to deliver holistic financial planning advice to existing HNW and UHNW clients with portfolios
  • Attend new client pitches alongside Investment Managers and convert financial planning opportunities within the existing client base
  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships across the investment management team
  • Deliver both ongoing financial planning services and one-off advisory work depending on client requirements
  • Ensure all advice is delivered to the highest standards of compliance and that ongoing client reviews are completed in a timely manner

What we are looking for:

  • An experienced Financial Planner with ideally 10 years or more of advising experience, though strong candidates with slightly less will be considered
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum requirement - Chartered status is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with HNW clients and delivering complex, holistic financial planning advice
  • A polished, professional individual who is comfortable operating at the highest levels of the market
  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative, integrated environment and builds strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike
  • Experience within an integrated wealth management business is ideal, though candidates from financial planning led firms or professional services practices linked to accountancy or legal firms would also be a very strong fit

What is on offer:

  • A significant six figure basic salary for the right candidate
  • Discretionary bonus based on new AUM and fees generated, quality of team collaboration, and compliance and ongoing review standards
  • The platform, infrastructure, and client base of one of the UK's largest and most respected wealth management businesses
  • Ample career scope as the company continues to grow
  • A genuinely collaborative working environment where you will not be expected to hunt for new clients

If you are an experienced Financial Planner based in Scotland looking for a role that offers genuine quality, scale, and the backing of a market-leading business without the pressure of cold new business development, this is well worth a conversation.
