Nigel James Associates are working exclusively to help our client secure an Area Director which will oversee a portfolio of offices across either the Southeast or Southwest of England.
- Take overall leadership responsibility for four to five offices, with Heads of Office/Team Leaders reporting into you, overseeing approximately 25 Financial Planners across your teams.
- Coach and mentor the Head of Office/Team Leaders, supporting their personal development and helping them grow as leaders in their own right.
- Monitor and support new business inflow and regional performance, ensuring KPIs and OKRs are met.
- Act as the senior point of contact for the leadership team in your region, leading executive communications and business planning.
- Liaise with compliance, people, and training functions to coordinate regional performance and people matters.
- Chartered Financial Planner status (or equivalent) with an expert understanding of the industry.
- A minimum of five years' experience managing financial planners, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Comfortable with pace, complexity and a devolved, decentralised leadership model - this business deliberately avoids micromanagement and needs leaders who can think for themselves.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to instil a client-first culture across your teams.
- Can be based anywhere in the South of England, with willingness to travel regularly between office locations.
- Discretionary bonus with OTE earnings of circa £140,000-£175,000.
- The autonomy to lead a significant regional operation within a business that is genuinely going places.
