We are working with a modern, forwardâthinking organisation building a highâperforming data function. They operate like a privateâsector tech team, with minimal red tape, quick decisionâmaking, and real autonomy.
As Senior Data Engineer, you will work across the full Azure data ecosystem, delivering clean, reliable data for analytics and BI while engaging directly with stakeholders across the organisation. This is a customerâfacing role.
You will also mentor junior engineers, support planning and contribute to continuous improvement within a fastâevolving data team.
Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and optimise Azureâbased data pipelines
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows into the silver layer powering BI
- Work with ADF (critical), SQL, Azure Blob Storage, Power BI, Git & Azure DevOps
- Engage, challenge and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation
- Own and lead weekly project checkâins
- Mentor two junior data engineers (peer reviews, planning, work allocation, Scrum)
- Shape future architectural decisions and contribute to continuous delivery improvements
- Support the transition toward nextâgen tooling (Fabric, AWS, Snowflake under evaluation)
- Up to ÂŁ65,000
