We are seeking a Data Architect to support the design and delivery of modern Azure-based data solutions within a fast-growing data consultancy environment. This role plays a key part in helping clients define and deliver scalable, cloud-native data platforms that enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights.

This position sits at the centre of client engagements, shaping end-to-end data architectures across areas such as data ingestion, integration, storage, warehousing and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing robust, secure and cost-efficient data solutions that align with client strategies and support data-driven decision making.

This role is ideal for someone confident working across the full data lifecycle, with strong experience in modern data architecture and the ability to translate complex client requirements into scalable, high-quality designs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across business and technical teams, presenting solutions, influencing delivery approaches and contributing to the development of best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead data architecture design across client projects, ensuring scalable and secure solutions
  • Design and deliver cloud data platforms using Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric
  • Define data models, pipelines, integrations and overall architecture frameworks
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to technical delivery teams
  • Present architecture decisions and proof-of-concept solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Shape client data strategies, challenging approaches and promoting best practices where appropriate
  • Support pre-sales activities including RFI/RFP responses and proof-of-concept development
Skills and Experience
  • Strong background in data architecture, data engineering, or modern data platform delivery
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions end-to-end
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure data technologies (ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Fabric)
  • Expertise in data modelling techniques
  • Ability to gather and translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences
