I am working with a leading global organisation that is investing heavily in its digital and data capability across multiple international regions, including the UK, Australia, UAE, and Canada. As part of this transformation, they are expanding their testing function and looking to appoint a Test Engineer to play a key role in driving quality across applications and data platforms. This is a hands‑on role focused on improving the reliability, stability, and consistency of outputs across both application and data engineering teams. The successful candidate will act as a proactive quality assurance layer, working closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Engineering Leads to ensure robust delivery from requirements through to production.

The Role

The Test Engineer will take ownership of structured testing across a complex enterprise environment, supporting both applications and data platforms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Development Leads and Business Analysts on test planning, scenario design, execution, and early validation of requirements
  • Delivering end‑to‑end functional and integration testing across Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, APIs, and data pipelines (ADF, Databricks, Fabric)
  • Validating business logic, data accuracy, workflow behaviour, and cross-system integration
  • Running regression and business simulation testing to ensure changes are stable and aligned with real operational use cases
  • Leading impact assessments for changes, identifying dependencies, risks, and downstream effects
  • Supporting performance and load testing across applications, SharePoint, and data processing layers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, and defect analysis
  • Experience testing across Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint), APIs, and workflow‑based systems
  • Exposure to data engineering tools such as ADF, Databricks, Fabric, or similar platforms
  • Ability to design and execute structured test cases and test cycles in collaboration with BAs and engineering teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with clear and confident communication skills
  • Experience working in complex, multi-system environments with a strong focus on data integrity and integration testing
