We are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to join a high‑profile programme delivering complex data and analytics capabilities within a secure and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end data solutions that align with business, technical, security, and operational requirements
  • Produce high-quality architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, architecture decision records, and options assessments
  • Define current-state, target-state, and transition architectures, including phased delivery roadmaps
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and operationally supportable
  • Provide architectural leadership throughout delivery, supporting technical teams during implementation
  • Participate in design reviews, governance forums, and architectural assurance activities
  • Work closely with engineering, security, and programme stakeholders to ensure architecture standards are met
  • Support architecture documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition planning

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a Data Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, or similar architecture-focused role
  • Strong background designing modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms
  • Experience working within highly regulated, security-conscious, or complex enterprise environments
  • Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Experience producing detailed architecture documentation for governance and assurance purposes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Technical Skills

  • Cloud data platforms such as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar
  • Distributed data processing technologies, including Spark-based platforms
  • Enterprise integration patterns including APIs, event-driven architectures, and service-based solutions
  • Platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and DevOps practices
  • Cloud landing zones, identity and access management, secure connectivity, and enterprise-scale architecture patterns
  • Data architecture, application architecture, infrastructure architecture, and security architecture principles

Desirable Experience

  • Experience operating within architecture governance frameworks and design authorities
  • Architectural assurance and design review board participation
