I'm working with a forward-thinking organisation that is making significant investment in its data, analytics, AI, and automation capabilities. As part of a major digital transformation programme, they are looking to hire an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale Microsoft Fabric migration and Dynamics 365 implementation. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders, helping to design, build, and optimise data solutions that drive decision-making across the organisation. You’ll be involved in migrating and modernising existing data workloads into Microsoft Fabric, developing robust ETL/ELT processes, integrating Dynamics 365 and Dataverse data, and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data throughout the transformation journey. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge Microsoft technologies and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the company’s data architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric
  • Build and manage Lakehouses, Notebooks, and data integration workflows
  • Develop efficient ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and deliver data across the business
  • Support the migration of legacy data platforms into Microsoft Fabric
  • Work closely with teams involved in the Dynamics 365 rollout, integrating and migrating CRM/Dataverse data
  • Perform data reconciliation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high data quality standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of data governance, best practices, and platform optimisation
  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives by ensuring reliable and accessible data assets
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
    • Data Pipelines
    • Lakehouses
    • Notebooks
  • Advanced SQL and T-SQL development skills
  • Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT solutions
  • Experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, or CRM-related data migration projects
  • Strong understanding of data reconciliation, validation, testing, and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience

  • PySpark and/or Python development
