Automation & AI Engineer - UK (Hybrid) - c£70K

Nigel Frank are partnered with a forward-thinking organisation to find an experienced Automation & AI Engineer to design, develop and optimise business process automation and AI-enabled solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technical specialist to combine Power Platform, AI, low-code automation and systems integration to improve operational efficiency and support wider digital transformation.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, identifying opportunities for automation and turning business requirements into scalable, practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Power Platform automation and AI solutions, including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages, Copilot Studio and Azure AI Services.
  • Build AI-powered workflows, agents and integrations across Microsoft 365 and business-critical systems using APIs.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify automation and AI opportunities, translating business requirements into scalable, secure and effective technical solutions.
  • Support the optimisation, governance and adoption of automation and AI solutions, including documentation, training, monitoring and responsible AI practices.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering business process automation and AI solutions, with strong hands-on Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Pages experience.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services or similar, including prompt engineering, agent design, knowledge grounding, testing and responsible AI.
  • Strong experience with system integrations, APIs, data connectors and low-code technologies, alongside Microsoft 365 and cloud-based applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
