Nigel Frank International is proud to be recruiting for a Technical Architect on behalf of a well-established public sector organisation based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise-grade solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
This is a hybrid role, combining on-site collaboration in Central London with flexible remote working.
The Role
As Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the technical architecture of new solutions and enhancements across the organisation’s Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 (D365) estate.
You will translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs, working closely with internal stakeholders, digital delivery teams, and Microsoft implementation partners. This role requires strong enterprise awareness, hands-on technical depth, and the ability to clearly communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements against the enterprise architecture landscape to recommend and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Design end-to-end solutions within Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
- Produce high-quality architecture documentation and technical diagrams for internal teams and external delivery partners.
- Develop architecture implementation plans, breaking down large initiatives into manageable and deliverable components.
- Identify technical risks, security considerations, and integration challenges across the technology landscape.
- Create functional representations and UI prototypes using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Oversee solution build progress and ensure alignment with agreed architectural standards and principles.
- Troubleshoot integration and system issues during delivery and post-implementation.
- Work closely with Microsoft implementation partners to ensure solutions align with established technology principles and patterns.
Technology Environment
You will be working across a broad Microsoft and enterprise stack, including:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- C#
- Java
- SQL
- SAP integrations
- Oracle integrations
- Integration with legacy and non-legacy enterprise platforms
Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies and their integration with wider enterprise systems is essential.
Experience Required
- Experience as a Technical Architect within Microsoft Power Platform and D365 environments.
- Demonstrable experience translating business and technical requirements into scalable solution designs.
- Strong experience designing transitional architectures.
- Proven experience addressing security considerations across architecture domains.
- Ability to solve complex IT challenges across integrated enterprise landscapes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
