Head of AI – UK (Remote) – c£100K
We are working with a growing Microsoft technology organisation that is investing heavily in AI Business Solutions and Microsoft cloud technologies.
They are looking for an experienced Head of AI with strong pre-sales experience to lead and develop a specialist technical team, while helping shape and deliver innovative AI solutions for enterprise customers.
This is more than a traditional pre-sales leadership role.
You’ll combine people leadership, technical solution design and commercial engagement, working across Microsoft’s rapidly evolving AI ecosystem including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the AI Pre-Sales team, providing day-to-day guidance, coordinating technical support across opportunities and helping build team capability.
- Shape and assure AI-led solutions through customer discovery, workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts and proposals, identifying technical risks and constraints early.
- Partner closely with Sales Executives, Solution Architects and Delivery teams to support commercial opportunities, validate feasibility and ensure successful handovers.
- Own and develop AI demo environments and reusable pre-sales assets, while acting as a senior escalation point for complex AI opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience leading, managing, coaching or mentoring technical consultants or pre-sales specialists.
- Strong background in technical pre-sales, solution consulting or solution specialist roles.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI and Power Platform.
- Experience shaping AI solutions through discovery, demonstrations, POCs and customer engagements.
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience supporting customer opportunities and contributing towards revenue targets.
