Location: North West, UK (Primarily remote with ad-hoc travel to clients)

The business are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to deliver enterprise-scale Microsoft projects for a key customer in the Utilities sector. This is a cloud platform delivery project, supporting the deployment and operation of Azure-based infrastructure and AI-enabled services. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving project, delivering high-impact solutions while contributing to a longer-term platform and engineering strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitHub Pipelines
  • Work closely with solution architects and platform engineers to deliver scalable, secure cloud environments
  • Support the integration and deployment of AI services, including Azure OpenAI, Foundry, and Intelligent Documentation
  • Contribute to platform engineering initiatives and backend deployment activities
  • Ensure best practices across automation, reliability, and cloud governance

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including VNETs, subnets, and networking fundamentals
  • Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid knowledge of GitHub workflows and automation
  • Programming experience in Python (preferred for AI integration), as well as C# and .NET
  • Familiarity with deploying AI or data-driven components in cloud environments

Please note this role requires applicants to be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
