Technical Architect Digital Services / Technology Enterprise Architecture Lead The Technical Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing the technical architecture for new solutions and enhancements within a Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. The Technical Architect will ensure that all solutions meet both business objectives and technical governance requirements. Working collaboratively across Digital Services, the role engages with stakeholders at all levels as well as external implementation partners to ensure the successful delivery of integrated and sustainable technology solutions. Produce high-quality architectural artefacts, including diagrams, technical documentation, and design specifications Assess and clearly communicate technical risks, constraints, and trade-offs to stakeholders Balances competing priorities such as cost, risk, urgency, and impact Applies proportionate and pragmatic risk management approaches Takes ownership of delivering high-quality outcomes Degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, particularly Power Platform and Dynamics 365, and their integration with enterprise systems Familiarity with technologies such as C#, JavaScript, SQL, and enterprise platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle) Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in a Technical Architect or similar role Hands-on involvement in solution design, governance, and implementation oversight Adhere to organisational policies, including equality, diversity, and inclusion Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection regulations Follow information security and acceptable use policies Apply risk management principles in day-to-day activities Remain flexible and adaptable to support additional duties as required
