Our client is an ambitious and rapidly expanding FinTech business currently seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to lead its finance function during an exciting period of growth.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CEO and leadership team, providing both strategic financial guidance and hands‑on leadership as the business continues to scale.
The Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of financial operations, reporting, forecasting and commercial analysis, ensuring that the company maintains strong financial governance while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
This position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys working within a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to make a genuine impact on business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance function.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Manage cash flow, working capital and treasury activities.
- Develop financial models and growth projections.
- Ensure compliance with audit, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Improve processes, controls and financial reporting capabilities.
- Support investor relations, fundraising and due diligence activities.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks and external advisors.
Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director or similar leadership role.
- Background within FinTech, Financial Services, SaaS or another high-growth environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and executive teams.
- Proven ability to improve financial processes and controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to investment, PE-backed or venture-backed organisations would be highly desirable.
