Head of IT - Glasgow (Hybrid) - c£80K + Bonus

We are working with a growing logistics business that plays a key role in transporting goods across Europe.

They are looking to appoint an ambitious Head of IT to take ownership of their technology function and play a key role in shaping the organisation's future IT strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager, IT Lead, Applications Manager, Senior IT Project Manager or Business Systems Manager who is ready to take the next step into IT leadership.

You'll combine IT leadership, business systems, data, digital transformation and stakeholder management, working closely with senior leadership to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure technology continues to support the organisation's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the organisation's IT function and technology roadmap, ensuring technology supports wider business objectives.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams to understand business processes, identify challenges and drive technology-led improvements.
  • Lead and develop business systems and ERP capabilities, with experience across Dynamics 365 / AX highly desirable.
  • Drive digital transformation and process improvement initiatives, ensuring technology delivers measurable business value.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of ERP, business systems and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of data, reporting, AI and digital transformation.
  • Strong project management and change management experience, with the ability to take initiatives from strategy through to delivery.
  • A proactive and ambitious approach, with the desire to build and develop an IT function rather than simply maintain existing technology.
