IT Security Manager - UK (Remote)

A global organisation is looking to appoint an experienced IT Security Manager to take ownership of security operations and strengthen its IT and Operational Technology (OT) security environment.

This is a hands-on role combining vulnerability management, security testing, incident response and security governance. You'll work closely with internal teams, external security providers and senior stakeholders to manage risk, strengthen security controls and ensure systems meet corporate and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management, assessing findings, prioritising risks and driving remediation through to completion
• Manage third-party security testing, including penetration testing, assumed breach testing and red team exercises
• Oversee security controls, policies, access management and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Assess and strengthen security across servers, endpoints, mobile devices, networks and cloud infrastructure
• Manage third-party Security Operations Centre (SOC) provision and lead security incident response

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in IT security, information security or security operations
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, servers, networks, endpoints and cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Tenable Nessus or equivalent
• Experience managing penetration testing, security assessments and remediation activities
• Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS, antivirus, authentication and log management
• Experience managing SOC providers, security events and incident response
