An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our growing friendly team at Niftylift! Niftylift Limited is one of the world’s leading privately owned designers and manufacturers of mobile elevated work platforms. Our customer base is global, with products sold and locally supported in over 40 different countries. This success is comprehensively supported by a team of over 400 full-time members of staff across our three UK centres of excellence / manufacturing sites in the UK.

The Role in Detail: As the Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer you will work within the Production Engineering Team to provide support for a welding value stream, including both manual and automated processes, and systems to assess, analyse and develop continuous improvement opportunities and the most cost-effective method of value-added production output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct accurate value stream mapping alongside time studies to support accurate labour and capacity planning, with true process costings to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Administer and maintain the accuracy of bills of materials and part locations.
  • Maintain and develop the production process documentation/instructions used across the value stream.
  • Develop and document all parts of the production process, through standard operating procedures, work instructions and how-to guides.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Health.
