We require Trainee Manufacturing Operatives who are self-motivated, have good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. The job will be a hands-on role, based on one of the Product Lines or Cells within the Production Department at Milton Keynes. The successful applicant will develop into a top-class practical Manufacturing Operative with expert knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic assembly of the Niftylift product range.

Applicant Entry Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 GCSE's (or equivalent): Grade D (Level 3) or above in Maths and English, or Functional Skills level 1.

The role in more detail:

This role requires dynamic team players with proven skills, knowledge and experience of mechanical assembly, along with hydraulic and electrical installation. The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards, within a manufacturing cell/flow line production environment. You will be required to perform a range of manufacturing/production operations to the required quality standard, on time and within commercial competition cost budgets (i.e. logistics/materials handling, preparation, painting, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, fitting/fabrication).

Qualifications you will achieve:

  • EAL Level 2 Certificate in Engineering Operations (Knowledge)
  • EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
  • Practical Skills Training in the below areas:
  • Producing components using hand-fitting techniques
  • Maintaining mechanical devices and equipment
  • Assembling and testing fluid power systems
  • Wiring and Testing Electrical equipment and circuits

Working Hours & Salary:

Milton Keynes- Hours will be 08.00 - 16.30 Monday - Friday (with regular structured overtime if over 18). Structured Apprenticeship rates that align with year 1 - 4 status of your apprenticeship and your age. Starting salary - approximately £15,704, which increases each year.
