An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join our growing friendly team at Niftylift. The role is based at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Hoyland, Barnsley. The Quality Inspector Role requires a strong team player with experience, skills and knowledge in quality within a manufacturing/fabrication environment. The role requires an individual with proven problem solving skills and a no-fault forward attitude.
Responsibilities And Duties:- Provide Quality Control support to Manufacturing areas, conduct inspection, collect measurement data, and ensure quality control documents are available to operators.
- Support Quality Assurance Engineers and Team Leaders in implementing preventative solutions to Quality concerns.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and auditing of Quality Control Procedures.
- Conduct "patrol" inspection assisting operators in identifying non-conforming processes to standards and identifying rework requirements.
- Perform immediate containment of reported defective products.
Day Shift - 07:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 07:30am - 1:30pm Friday - 40 hours per week. Guaranteed basic starting salary £15.16 x 40 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £45 per week bonus plus structured overtime paid at premium rates outlined below:
- Level A - Overtime paid at premium of rate of £15.16 x 1.5 per hour
- Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £15.16 x 2.0 per hour
- Annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.

- Visual Weld Inspection Qualification e.g. PCN Level 1
- Experience in manufacturing practices; Welding/Fabrication, Assembly and Pressing.
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment, e.g. Vernier, bore micrometre, bore gauges, Go/No Go gauges etc.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
- Computer literate - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint also Access;
