The role is based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The CNC Machining Technician Role requires team players with experience, skills, and knowledge in CNC programmes and parameters.
The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards within a world-class manufacturing team and facility.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate CNC Machine centres to achieve the required quality and at the required output (twin horizontal twin pallet)
- Provide feedback and ideas for improving the process and identifying & reporting reasons for any delays
- Follow planned daily targets to ensure the correct mix of work is completed to maintain/ improve Kanban stock levels and ensure no delays occur
- Ensure no faults are passed forward to the next process and highlight any concerns
Experience
- Ideally apprentice trained with previous machining experience (minimum 3 years)
- Previous experience of CNC Programmes & Parameters;
- PC literate with emphasis on Microsoft Excel;
- Previous experience following standard operating procedure for setting up fixtures and jobs
- Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Working Hours & Salary
- Double Day Shift - Hours will be 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 Monday - Thursday & Friday 06:00-11:30 11:30-17:00 rotating shifts
Guaranteed basic starting salary £16.13 x 37.5 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £45 per week bonus - £38,771.53 per annum plus structured overtime paid at premium rates outlined below:
- Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £24.20 per hour (i. e. x 1.5).
- Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £32.26 per hour (i. e. x 2.0).
- Double day shift premium x 1.15
- Plus additional monthly bonus aligned to business performance that equates to total bonus payments of £195 - £350 per month on average (for reference only).
