Abbey House provides supported living accommodation for older persons, offering support and care for up to 12 Housing with Care Tenants. It is located in the city centre of Derry~Londonderry. Abbey offers 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QCF/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and 6 months experience in a formal care/support role working with vulnerable adults, or
  • 2 years' experience in a formal care/support role, with previous experience of working with vulnerable adults.

Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months. Additionally, candidates should be willing to work towards the completion of QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care. Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance, or voluntary work in a formal setting.
