Ballyoan House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. Ballyoan House provides 24‑hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day‑to‑day decision making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • QCF/NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, achieve registration within 6 months
  • OR 2 years’ experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, achieve registration within 6 months
  • Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification
  • *Formal care/support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance, or voluntary work in a formal setting
