The Painter is responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services within residential properties managed by Radius Housing. Duties include preparation and painting of internal and external surfaces during void turnarounds, responsive maintenance, and planned refurbishment programmes. The role supports our commitment to safe, well‑maintained, and presentable homes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint both internal and external surfaces according to project specifications.
- Work independently across multiple sites or as part of a maintenance team.
- Apply knowledge of paint systems, finishes, and preparation techniques to achieve high‑quality results.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with health and safety legislation and COSHH.
- Respect and be professional when working in occupied homes or sensitive settings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a painter in social housing or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of different paint systems, finishes, and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites or as part of a maintenance team.
