The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Purpose: To inspect and measure production components to specification as part of the company first and last off process. To record accurate information and liaise between production and quality departments. Has the authority to stop process when non-conforming product is being produced in either moulding and or assembly.
Main Duties:
- Carry out first-off, last off and ongoing quality checks ensuring that the correct procedures are followed.
- Measurement will be carried out using a variety of hand measurement techniques and equipment, part gauges and automated equipment. Including dimensional, gloss, colour and surface measurement.
- Recording and maintaining accurate records of measurements taken.
- Reporting any non-conformities to production and quality staff.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Automotive industry experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Good communication skills
- Able to discuss quality issues with all levels and departments in the business
- Able to read and interpret measurement media, drawings and internal PQF documentation.
Desirable:
- Quality control experience
- Nifco UK product knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
