The key to growth at NIQ is a high-performing sales team. NIQ is seeking a talented, results-oriented VP, Global Strategic Business Development to lead some of our most strategic new business activities. The Global Strategic Business Development lead will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic new business growth initiatives across strategic global clients and markets. This role will drive high-impact partnerships, lead new business strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to align business development efforts with NIQ’s long-term vision.
As a Global Strategic Business Development lead, you will be a senior individual contributor responsible for driving new business growth across NIQ’s largest and most strategic enterprise accounts. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with a consultative approach, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for solving complex client challenges through data and analytics. This role requires a leader who can influence without direct authority, align global stakeholders, and execute high-impact sales strategies that accelerate revenue growth. Your future responsibilities:
- Global Sales Strategy and targeting: Partner with global account teams to identify whitespace opportunities and drive strategic client engagement.
- Enterprise Sales Execution: Drive the full sales cycle from strategy to close for global enterprise clients, with a focus on strategic, high-value opportunities.
- Solution Selling: Develop tailored value propositions and proposals that align NIQ’s capabilities with client business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Global Account leads, Local sales teams, marketing, Customer Success to deliver seamless client buying experiences.
- Global Coordination: Navigate complex, matrixed organizations and coordinate across geographies to drive consistent messaging and execution.
- Sales & Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales plans and pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate reporting to leadership.
- Strategic Sales Enablement: Support and implement scalable sales strategies, playbooks, and enablement programs that support global business development.
Your profile:
- 10 years of enterprise strategic business development experience, in FMCG/Retail data, technology and analytics.
- Proven track record of success.
- Experience in selling to global or multi-regional FMCG clients.
- Strong consultative selling skills and experience engaging with C-level stakeholders.
- Effective senior-level communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Expert ability to influence and negotiate, with a track record of successfully overcoming barriers and challenges.
- Proficient in project management, strategic planning, and thinking.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., MSD), & sales enablement platforms.
