As an Analytic Consultant in the Retail Customer Success team, you will work collaboratively with a major UK grocery retailer, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Your focus will be on helping the retailer unlock greater value from data, analytics and insights, turning complex market and shopper information into clear business actions and long‑term growth opportunities.
This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on role. You will work closely with retailer stakeholders and NIQ teams, combining Scanning, Panel and other datasets to ensure insight is consistently clear, relevant, and impactful.
Working alongside the Customer Success Team Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the retailer relationship, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement, and supporting the strategic development of the account. While the Team Lead is responsible for team leadership and delivery excellence, you will focus on retailer partnership, strategic consulting, thought leadership and driving insight‑led growth.
You will be expected to build trusted relationships across the retailer organisation, uncover opportunities where NIQ can create additional value, and help ensure that insights are translated into meaningful business outcomes.
Salary: 48000 GBP to 57000 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Retailer Partnership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailer stakeholders across insight, category, commercial and customer functions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders understand market trends, shopper behaviour and category performance and develop a deep understanding of the retailer's priorities, strategic objectives and business challenges.
- Partner with retailer teams to identify opportunities where data, insights and analytics can drive improved business performance, work closely with the Team Lead and Account Director to support long‑term account planning and partnership development.
- Strategic Insights & Consultancy
- Translate complex business questions into actionable insight programmes and strategic recommendations. Connect retailer performance, category trends, shopper behaviour and market dynamics to provide a holistic view of opportunities and risks.
- Deliver compelling storytelling that moves beyond reporting to influence decision making and action. Support strategic projects, category reviews, business planning and senior stakeholder discussions.
- Leverage Scanning, Panel and other NIQ datasets to uncover meaningful insights and future growth opportunities.
- Account Development & Value Creation
- Identify opportunities to increase the value NIQ delivers across the retailer organisation. Support the adoption of new data sources, tools and analytical capabilities.
- Proactively bring fresh perspectives, market trends and thought leadership to client conversations. Contribute to business reviews and value realisation discussions with retailer stakeholders.
- Help strengthen NIQ's position as a trusted strategic partner through insight‑led engagement.
- Insight Quality & Delivery
- Ensure all analytical outputs are clear, accurate, commercially relevant and actionable. Support the development of robust analytical approaches to answer complex retailer business questions.
- Shape and review key deliverables to maximise business impact and stakeholder engagement. Provide expertise and guidance on high‑profile or strategically important projects.
- Collaboration & Capability Building
- Work closely with Customer Success, Commercial, Analytics, Product and Operations teams to deliver an integrated client experience.
- Bring together the right NIQ expertise to help solve retailer challenges and unlock opportunities.
- Share insight, retailer knowledge and best practices across the wider organisation.

- Proven experience in FMCG, retail, or market research analytics.
- Strong analytical capability, especially using Consumer Panel. Ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.
