About the Role
This role is critical to NIQ's success as it drives the retention and growth of our largest retail clients. This role focuses on understanding why our clients share data with NIQ, what they value in return and how we can expand those partnerships in a way that is aligned to NIQ Retail strategy.
Key functions for this role include developing recommendations and strategies for renewals including solutions and terms to address current and future needs. Requires collaboration across many internal partners to gain an understanding of the current client health & value of the retailer, assess what is needed to continue the retailer partnership, evaluate how to improve the deal terms to be more favorable to NIQ and ensure the right mix of solutions to best support client needs. In this role, it is critical to ensure deals are accurate, timely and can best deliver against the strategy developed for both the retailer & NIQ.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of contractual terms, adept financial acumen, excellent communication skills and a tenacious appetite to drive ambitious deals to favorable outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan renewal opportunities in advance year to year to set goals and objectives.
- Pro-actively assess and track client health to identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with renewals.
- Develop the renewal strategy for retail renewals in your region – aligned to regional strategy.
- Lead the analysis and preparation of contract Renewals and Competitive Request for Proposals (RFP).
- Coach and consult internal teams regarding the generation of the deal, financial drivers and negotiation tactics.
- Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to align the strategy (Product, Ops, Commercial).
- Effectively challenge and influence internal teams.
- Understand NIQ’s corporate strategy to aid in the process and proposed solutions.
