We are the Retail Customer Success team, a digitally focused research team within NIQ, and we love collaborating with clients to identify current and future market opportunities and develop innovative solutions. This position is for someone with a strong research background who is or wants to become an expert in the Tech & Durables retail market. As part of the team you’ll get to understand the UK retail landscape, dynamics, and consumer buying behaviours, and translate what we learn into specific opportunities for our clients. We love to get immersed in data, work with it, come up with new hypotheses, and keep interrogating what we produce in order to create story-led analysis we are proud of.

This client facing role involves taking the lead with a portfolio of the UK’s largest retail clients – being responsible for managing day to day requests and using data to develop strategic and tactical recommendations and insights and solve business needs. Your role will involve direct interaction with clients, so being able to establish rapport with clients by being client-focused, responsive and approachable is necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service of a portfolio of the UK’s largest Tech & Home & DIY retailers and ensure client service is delivered to the agreed standard, meeting the service level requirements.
  • Working directly with the retailers to understand their key business questions and strategic aims.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with both client and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce actionable insight and answer retail partner queries and requests.
  • Organise and prepare retailer presentations, bringing in multiple research methodologies from NIQ to produce an overall picture of retail market trends.
  • Expertise and knowledge on UK retail trends.
  • Build and deliver tailored insights/presentations for retailers using a storyline approach and contributing to ongoing training and development of our people and capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant market research experience – minimum of 2+ years experience (in a previous agency or client-side).
  • Analysis skills: Must enjoy and have experience with ‘digging’ through data sets to find the true story and themes that are worthy of further investigation to deliver insight and recommendations.
  • Presentation experience and client management skills.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills. You will have a passion to be an engaging ‘Story-Teller’ and skills with PowerPoint and Excel and experience using data analysis packages.
  • Ideally knowledge of the UK retail market – if not, willingness to immerse themselves in it and become experts in the industry.

What We Offer:

We provide the most complete and trusted view of consumers and markets in 90 countries covering 90% of the world’s populations. Focusing on Tech & Durables retailers, we combine unparalleled data and coverage, pioneering technology, and the industry’s top talent to create insights that unlock innovation and redefine what’s possible.

Working with our Retailer Customer Success team gives you access to:

  • Career & Learning development.
  • Becoming an expert within UK retail environment.

This is a full-time role based in London offering a hybrid working mode combining working from home and one day a week in the London office.

Additional Information:

Our Benefits include a flexible working environment, volunteer time off, LinkedIn Learning, and Employee-Assistance-Program (EAP).
