Shortlisting Criteria

It is essential that the successful candidate meets the following requirements:

β€’ Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline, together with relevant electrical engineering experience; or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a planning-related role within an electrical engineering environment.
β€’ Previous experience operating power system software tools e.g. ConnectGrid, NEPLAN, DINIS, DIgSILENT, WINDebut
β€’ A working knowledge of power engineering principles.
β€’ An appreciation of electricity network policies and design standards, particularly those associated with the development of the distribution network. Understanding the importance of considering the potential risks associated with any technical decisions which you may make in the course of your work.
β€’ Understanding of construction, operations & safety in the context of network design.
β€’ An awareness of regulatory price controls and their implications for business finance.
β€’ Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office suite).
β€’ Current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
