Role Summary: The Service Repair Support function within the repair Centre is a pivotal role within the business and concentrates on the Receipt, Loading and allocation of products through the work areas in a controlled manner. Managing the materials required to be repaired is also a major function of the role and the controller has a responsibility to manage the storage locations to ensure all required parts are available on request.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Responding to queries for GRN creation and tracking through repair process
- Responsible for communicating with Technical Supervisor to manage customer requests for reworks and conversions
- Receipting in product as it arrives, Allocation of work to the technicians and placing in the repair FIFO lanes for collection and repair
- Maintaining the PCBa Kanban’s and communicating with the U79 manufacturing planning team to ensure replenishment in a timely manner
- Communicating with the materials team on shortages and expected delivery dates
- Reporting via the daily scrum meeting any issues relating to parts or shipments
- Owning the goods in area of the Service Centre, creating and maintaining a well-organized work area to enhance the flow of products through a controlled process
- Responsible for cycle counts and stock take completion
- Providing cover for the Support operator when required
- Responsible for effectively communicating with the Customer base when issues arise
- Working with Dispatch Teams on shipping requirements and any shipping challenges
- Direct support worker with daily tasks and report any issues to Supervision and Management
- Develop support workers Oracle skills in line with changes to process and procedures
- Responsible for the upkeep of Process instructions relating to Oracle programs
- Any other additional duties that are required within the U79 operating unit
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Warehousing experience
- Good level of experience in Microsoft packages
- Good basic education
Employees must be able to:
- Understand emergency instruction
- Read safety signage and hazard warnings
- Communicate effectively in specific situations (e.g. fire evacuation)
