Role Summary
Are you a proactive HR professional ready to make a real impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join our team at Nidec Drives in Newtown, just 30 minutes away from Shropshire. This role will play a key part in providing comprehensive support to the company across all aspects of HR: Employee relations, recruitment, disciplinary, grievance processes, and more.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Utilise HR policies, procedures, and processes to ensure that the business risks are managed (and minimised)
- Advise managers and employees on all HR matters
- Ensure and support H&S compliance
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and legislation
- Manage complex employee relations casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy
- Empower and energise the HR team by offering expert guidance, driving alignment, and fuelling a culture of passion and purpose
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar HR role
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with HR systems (Workday desirable)
- Accustomed to managing case loads of disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels in the organisation and to engender trust in the HR function
