Nidderdale National Landscape is looking for a talented and committed individual to take on the role of Wetlands Conservation Delivery Officer to lead the delivery of a major wetland habitat creation project, working closely with farmers and landowners across the area. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to habitat conservation in the National Landscape.
You should have good knowledge of land management and conservation, as well as experience of working with land managers. You will have been involved in the successful delivery of wetland conservation projects and be an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities- Lead the overall development of wetland projects, negotiating with land managers to agree locations for wetland habitat creation sites and designing the schemes.
- Deliver the wetland habitat creation, including managing contractors and project finances.
- Good knowledge of land management and conservation.
- Experience of working with land managers.
- Involved in the successful delivery of wetland conservation projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
