Role Overview
The Associate SENDCo works under the direction of the SENDCo to support the operational delivery of SEND at Nidderdale High School, ensuring students’ needs are met effectively and in line with statutory requirements. The post holder will lead and manage the operational aspects of SEND provision, working with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure success for young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operational delivery of SEND provision in line with statutory requirements and Nidderdale policies.
- Lead and manage the operational aspects of SEND provision.
- Collaborate with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to achieve successful outcomes for young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to restorative and relational practice, maintaining high expectations and an unwavering commitment to maximizing student potential.
- Work as part of the wider Inclusion Team, supporting the SENDCo.

- Experience or knowledge of SEND provision and inclusive practice.
- Strong relational and restorative practice skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- High expectations for student potential and passion for inclusive education.
