Nicor are recruiting a Plumber to work on Social Housing maintenance projects in the Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry area. The office is based in Derry with a competitive salary and long-term contracts in place. Working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available and call out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality service to tenants, specifically within domestic properties that are either occupied or void.
  • Ensure any additional work is captured and communicated to the relevant person, using the company PDA system for invoicing.
  • Comply with timeframes allocated for jobs and ensure target dates are met.
  • Maintain compliance with materials and workmanship schedules.
  • Care for all company tools and use appropriate safety equipment.
  • Ensure areas of work are left clean, tidy and safe at all times.
  • Be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contract administrators, head office, etc.
  • Be responsible for your own safety and the safety of others around you.
  • Coordinate and organise materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation.
  • Oversee and assist in the training of apprentices as required.
  • Partake in on-call rota once every 8 weeks.

The Ideal Person:

  • Level 3 NVQ in a relevant trade or equivalent.
  • Previous trades experience in a similar role.
  • Up-to-date relevant industry knowledge.
  • Up-to-date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Current and valid full and clean UK driving license.
  • Valid CSR Card.
  • Previous experience working within the Construction Industry.
  • Ideally have experience working within the Social Housing sector.
