Our client is a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial international sports media business headquartered in London and Maidstone. The business has developed into a true international brand and is a genuinely very exciting company to work for. They have established a senior management team in London and Maidstone and this role will be a very integral role for the business. They boast ambitious growth plans and require a qualified individual with technical strength, yet commercial mind-set to work in the young and dynamic environment.

This role will support the MD and CFO in developing the finance function, leading the day to day finance team/activity, but also being instrumental in the change/growth piece, working together in building that best in class division. Reporting into the CFO, this will be a varied and fluid role, duties will include:

  • Managing a finance team of 5
  • Re mapping of finance function
  • Manage the month end close, liaise with auditors, tax compliance and implementing controls
  • Focus on maintaining accounting policies and procedures
  • Financial reporting, inclusive of budgeting and forecasting
  • Balance sheet and cash flow analysis
  • Year-end reporting

Experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA top practice trained with or without industry exposure (ie direct from practice)
  • Technical strength
  • Progressive individual with strong academics
  • Strong character who will thrive in a fast paced business
