We're partnering with a leading consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across public and private sector organisations. This is a permanent, fully remote UK-based opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build and deploy modern cloud-native solutions whilst helping shape technical direction and engineering best practices.
The Role
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and high-quality software solutions
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy
- Build robust applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices
- Collaborate with Product, UX, DevOps and QA teams
- Drive engineering best practice, code quality and continuous improvement
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Contribute to CI/CD implementation and automated testing
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and optimise system performance
Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and Microservices
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade applications
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within complex software delivery environments
- Consultancy experience
- Public sector project experience
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers
