Senior IT Project Manager | Payments & SWIFT

I'm currently working with a major international banking organisation that is looking to hire an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a number of high-profile payments and SWIFT transformation programmes.

This is an opportunity to join a well-funded technology change function delivering strategic initiatives across payment processing, ISO 20022 migration, SWIFT messaging, regulatory change, and core banking platforms.

What you'll be doing

• Leading end-to-end delivery of complex payments technology projects
• Managing budgets, plans, governance, RAID logs and stakeholder communications
• Working closely with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Business stakeholders
• Delivering SWIFT MT/MX and ISO 20022 migration initiatives
• Coordinating testing, deployment, cutover and implementation activities
• Managing vendors and third-party delivery partners
• Driving multiple workstreams within a regulated banking environment

What we're looking for

• Proven IT Project Management experience within Banking or Financial Services
• Strong Payments and SWIFT project delivery experience
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT and MX messaging
• Understanding of payment schemes such as CHAPS, SEPA and TARGET2
• Experience delivering projects involving cross-border payments, settlement, liquidity management or payment operations
• Excellent stakeholder management and governance experience

• Sanctions Screening or AML platforms
• Payment Hubs
• PMP, APM or equivalent certification
