Are you a senior finance professional with deep expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R) and strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud transformations? A leading provider of airport ground services and air cargo handling is looking for a Global Process Owner – Record-to-Report (R2R) to drive the transformation, standardization, and governance of core accounting processes across multiple countries. In this role, you will own the global R2R process end-to-end, covering General Ledger, period-end close, reconciliations, intercompany, fixed assets, and internal/external reporting.
You will play a key leadership role in a global SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, leading the R2R workstream from template design through multi-country rollouts. You will be responsible for defining and defending global standards, ensuring strict adherence to SAP Best Practices and Fit-to-Standard principles, while balancing mandatory statutory and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will support the setup and continuous improvement of Finance Shared Services and ensure smooth transition from project delivery into operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning the global R2R vision, roadmap, and end-to-end process design
- Leading the R2R workstream within the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud program
- Designing and governing global process templates, policies, and guidelines
- Enforcing Fit-to-Standard and managing deviations with clear business justification
- Translating business process requirements into IT and ERP solutions
- Defining financial data standards (Chart of Accounts, master data, document principles)
- Driving KPI frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting multi-country rollouts, localization validation, and business readiness
- Driving change management, training concepts, and user adoption
- Supporting the setup and optimization of R2R Shared Services operations
To succeed in this role, you should bring:
- 7+ years of experience in Record-to-Report, financial accounting, or finance process management
- Strong SAP S/4HANA experience with deep knowledge of Core Accounting (FI-GL, FI-AA)
- Solid understanding of IFRS and end-to-end accounting processes
- Proven experience in global template design and multi-country SAP rollouts
- Experience with Finance Shared Services models
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to defend global standards
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to ~30%)
