We are supporting a growing data consultancy as they expand their London team with the addition of an experienced Data Governance Consultant. This role is suited to someone who combines strong advisory capability with hands-on delivery experience across enterprise data governance and wider data management disciplines. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape governance frameworks, improve data controls and embed sustainable data practices that enable better decision making and regulatory confidence.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and mature enterprise data governance frameworks, policies and standards
- Establish practical data management capabilities including data quality, metadata management, master data management and data modelling
- Define data ownership models, stewardship structures and accountability across the data lifecycle
- Identify, assess and manage data related risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Develop data strategies and roadmaps aligned to business priorities
- Embed governance processes across business and technology teams, driving adoption and measurable improvement
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice to both executive and operational stakeholders
Key Skills
- Proven experience delivering data governance frameworks within complex organisations
- Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and associated controls
- Experience improving data quality, metadata practices and data standards
- Ability to translate regulatory, risk and policy requirements into practical operating models

Location / Work Style
London based with hybrid working. Client engagement may require travel within the UK.
