An established and successful business based in Royal Wootton Bassett is looking to recruit a Part‑Time Accounts Administrator to join its finance team. This is an opportunity for someone with strong accounts administration experience who is looking for a part‑time role with consistent hours, a supportive working environment and the chance to take on additional responsibility once established.
About the Job
The role will initially focus on supporting the day‑to‑day finance function and ensuring accurate financial administration across the business. Duties will include:
- General accounts administration
- Purchase ledger support
- Sales ledger support
- Processing invoices
- Processing payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Supplier and customer account queries
- Credit control support
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting month‑end processes
- Liaising with internal teams and external contacts
- Supporting wider finance duties as required
Once settled, there will also be the opportunity to take on further responsibility, including P&L duties.
Benefits
- Salary of £26,000 – £28,000, depending on experience
- 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 2:00pm
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pro rata
- 3-month probation period

About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience within accounts administration or a similar finance support role. You will be organised, accurate, and confident working with financial information. You will also be comfortable handling invoices, payments, reconciliations and queries, while supporting the wider finance function. You will ideally be:
- Experienced in accounts administration
- Confident with purchase ledger and sales ledger duties
- Accurate with strong attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage your own workload
- Comfortable dealing with supplier and customer queries
- A good communicator
- Reliable, proactive and happy working in a fully office‑based role
- Interested in developing further responsibility over time
