Finance Team Leader
We are recruiting an experienced Finance Team Leader for an initial six‑month fixed‑term contract in Chippenham with hybrid working (Monday and Friday home‑based, Tuesday to Thursday in office).
About the role
- Oversee the workload of a small team of Finance Administrators, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Support, coach and guide the team with day‑to‑day queries and priorities.
- Resolve escalated supplier and internal queries.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers, finance colleagues and wider internal teams.
- Prepare supplier payment runs and process electronic BACS payments.
- Complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and present reports and KPIs to the leadership team.
- Identify and contribute to process and system improvements.
- Ensure accurate financial records and supporting documentation are maintained.
About you
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is essential.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines within a busy environment.
- Confident resolving complex or escalated queries.
- Experience working within a large, international or group organisation would be advantageous.
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £40,000 – £42,000.
- Initial six‑month fixed‑term contract.
- Hybrid working, with Monday and Friday home‑based and Tuesday to Thursday office‑based in Chippenham.
- 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro‑rata).
