I am exclusively working in partnership with my client to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can contribute from day one within a successful organisation while broadening their finance experience during a significant period of change.

The role will involve a combination of finance administration, reconciliations and management accounts support.

About the role

  • Assist with the monthly management accounts close.
  • Post journal transactions accurately.
  • Review nominal ledger accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring transactions are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate discrepancies and liaise with wider teams to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Support the monthly VAT return process and associated reconciliations.
  • Undertake other finance duties as required.

About you

  • Previous experience within a finance or management accounts team.
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work accurately, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience within a large, international or group organisation would be advantageous.

Salary and benefits

  • Initial six-month fixed-term contract.
  • Hybrid working, with Monday and Friday home based and Tuesday to Thursday office based.
  • 26 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Free onsite yoga sessions every two weeks.
