Financial information arrives unstructured, inconsistent and scattered across sources that were never designed to agree with one another. Making it precise, reconciled and reproducible is an engineering problem before it is a financial one. You will build the models, the pipelines and the automation that do it.
AI here is an instrument, not a novelty. Extraction, evaluation, review, and the harnesses that catch an output when it is wrong. Knowing where a model cannot be trusted matters more than knowing how to prompt one.

You can build.Most likely in Python. Whether you can make something work and keep it working is the question. Which modules you took is not.
You are genuinely numerate.Compounding and tiered arithmetic should feel instinctive rather than effortful.
You are precise under scrutiny.You will be asked how a number was derived, and expected to answer.
You will say when something is not ... supportable.Including when it would be far more convenient if it were .
You work without being watched.A small team cannot supervise you closely and will not pretend otherwise ..
You are discreet. Client material is confidential without exception .
Shipped a project ,built with LLMs ,wrangled real data: all useful, none required . No financial services background expected. The domain. domain is learnable in months . The habits of mind ;) are not .
Independence without compromise . Evidence over opinion . Clarity from complexity . Structure follows evidence . Confidentiality by design . The client comes first .
Constraints on the code, not wall decoration . Evidence over opinion means a figure that cannot be traced is marked as a gap and never estimated . If that reads as frustrating rather than clarifying, this is the wrong team .
