Your Mission (Key Responsibilities)

  1. Drive Strategic Growth & Ignite the Community
    • Put Us on the Map: Develop and execute local marketing strategies to increase foot traffic and make Beans and Bloom the go-to coffee destination in Cheam.
    • Cultivate "The Regulars": Launch an innovative, data-driven customer loyalty programme that goes beyond the standard stamp card to build deep customer retention.
    • Secure "Hero" Contracts: Build bridges with local businesses, schools, and council groups to secure catering contracts and host workshops.
    • Curate Unforgettable Events: Bring the community together by organising monthly events like "Meet the Roaster," open mics, and disability awareness workshops.
    • Digital Storytelling: Support our social media team to authentically tell our story, showcase our impact, and drive foot traffic.
  2. Champion an Inclusive, Empowered Team
    • Unlock Potential: Adapt training materials, visual aids, and workflows to meet the specific needs of staff and trainees with learning disabilities, unlocking their potential.
    • Build a Culture of Dignity: Foster a workplace of patience, high expectations, and joy, where every team member is empowered to contribute.
    • Lead by Example: Recruit, mentor, and manage a dedicated team, providing clear, constructive feedback and consistent support.
    • Safeguarding & Well-being: Maintain a safe, respectful environment free from exploitation, working closely with Nickel Support’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  3. Maintain Operational Excellence & Profitability
    • Menu Engineering & Innovation: Regularly analyse sales trends to refresh our menu seasonally. Keep it on-trend, high-margin, and operationally manageable for the team.
    • Financial Oversight: Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L), labor costs, inventory, and supply chains to ensure the enterprise remains self-sustaining.
    • Ethical Sourcing: Source ethical, local suppliers that align with our brand values while negotiating the best margins.
    • Gold-Standard Compliance: Act as the primary lead for all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Fire Safety regulations, ensuring standards are rigorous but accessible to all staff.

Who You Are (The Ideal Candidate)

  • The Experience: You have 3+ years of successful management experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment or a commercial social enterprise.
  • The Mindset: You possess an entrepreneurial, "owner" mentality. You look at a business and instantly see opportunities for growth, efficiencies, and community engagement.
  • The Heart: You have high emotional intelligence (EQ), boundless patience, and a deep, genuine passion for social equity.

The Toolkit

  • You have strong financial literacy (P&L management), a knack for menu development, and a solid understanding of basic CRM/social media marketing.

The Credentials

  • You hold a deep understanding of H&S regulations and a current Food Hygiene certification.
