Fast-growing property developer based in Redhill is seeking to recruit a finalist or recently qualified accountant from Practice or Industry. Exposure to the real estate industry, or real estate clients in audit would be beneficial.
As the business continues to grow, they are expanding the finance function to support an increasing portfolio of developments. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team at a pivotal stage in the company’s journey.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, hands-on role offering real ownership and exposure across the business. You will play a key part in financial reporting, supporting the audit process, and partnering with operational teams across multiple live development sites.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and variance analysis
- Support the year-end statutory audit and act as a key contact for external auditors
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, including property-specific VAT considerations
- Manage CIS returns and related compliance requirements
- Assist with cashflow forecasting and monitor site-level performance
- Review work prepared by the Accounts Assistant and support their development
- Post journals, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain strong financial controls
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements as the finance function scales
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior management
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA newly qualified, or a finalist close to qualification
- Experienced in a management accounting or finance role
- Ideally from a property, construction or project-based environment
- Knowledgeable in VAT, with CIS familiarity being advantageous
- Highly proficient in Excel with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership
